Fiore Grey

Fiore (pronounced “fee-or-ay”) is a mother of two beautiful children and the partner to an amazing husband, as well as a Birthing From Within mentor and childbirth educator, labor doula, and birth advocate. With a degree in Gender Studies, she has been passionate about women’s issues for as long as she can remember, and particularly interested in pregnancy and childbirth.
She is a member of several birth organizations, including Birthing From Within, the Organization of Labor Assistants for Birth Options & Resources (formerly ALACE), La Leche League International, National Advocates for Pregnant Women, the Coalition for Improving Maternity Services, and the Colorado Doulas Association. Fiore also sees her background in mindfulness practices through Naropa University as a vital aspect of her training.
She first encountered Birthing From Within while on her own path from maidenhood to motherhood, during the birth of her son in 2006, and immediately fell in love with this extraordinary approach to birthing, parenting, and ultimately, being in the world.
Carrie Malanga
Carrie is a Birthing From Within childbirth educator, mentor, birth doula and mother. She has extensive experience in facilitating rites of passage work in wilderness settings and brings this passion to her birth work with parents. She has supported women, couples, and families through their birth in a variety of settings, including birthing centers, hospitals and homebirths. Carrie has found “the landscape of birth” to be as awe provoking, heart stirring and as adventurous as any wilderness setting she has encountered. Carrie invites her clients to welcome all parts of themselves during this exploration and preparation for birth and beyond, including sharing their joys, challenges, fears and unique experiences.
Carrie has completed a doula training with DONA International as well as being in good standing within the doula/mentor program of Birthing From Within. She has an MA in Education and has completed a prenatal yoga training.
Chris Malanga
Chris Malanga MA, LPC is a Master’s level psychotherapist with a deep appreciation for supporting fathers and couples in their transition into parenthood, whether it be with their first child or their last. Chris practices a strength based, mindfulness centered approach to his work as a practitioner and as a Birthing From Within Educator.
Chris supports individuals and couples to overcome the roadblocks which prevent them from living life to its fullest. In his work he has found that people who have a strong sense of worthiness and belonging live rich and full lives, and are able to pass those internal beliefs on to their children. Unfortunately most of us lose that sense of self -love early in life and do not believe that we have the time, energy, or resources to rediscover it. Chris appreciates working with individuals, couples and fathers during their initiation into parenthood as well as those who are well seasoned parents because it is a time when many find the courage to begin their own path of rediscovering.
